As part of its activities dedicated to historical memory and the dissemination of knowledge, CAMERONE A.C. highlights the presentation of the new work by historian Héctor Strobel, Historia ilustrada de la intervención francesa y el imperio en Veracruz (1861-1867).

This publication offers a rigorous, accessible, and richly illustrated reading of the French intervention in Mexico and of the Empire in the State of Veracruz. It sheds precise light on the military events, political dynamics, figures of the period, and regional issues that marked this decisive period of the nineteenth century.

Through its historical and documentary approach, this work constitutes an important contribution to understanding the context in which the Battle of Camerone took place, as well as to the broader study of Franco-Mexican relations during the intervention.

The presentations organized in Orizaba, Veracruz, and Puebla reflect the growing interest in this shared memory and in the research work devoted to this period. They also contribute to the dialogue between history, memory, culture, and transmission.
